Xavier Justice Hicks, aka ‘Xman’ or ‘X’, passed away suddenly at the age of 21. He was born May 17th, 2002 in Lakeland, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents Thomas Ryan Hicks and Jade-Marie Hicks. He leaves behind his sister Veda Hicks, along with his Grandmothers Lisa (Mema), Penny Talley, and Great Grandmother Donna. His Poppa Bill, and Pawpaw Steve. Uncle Billy, Ryan, Cris, Josh, and Bill. Aunt Sydney, Lyndsey, Shannon, as well as so many more loved family members, and countless friends.
He is also leaving behind his most precious daughter Rayleigh, who is only 5 weeks old, as well as her mother Jessica, and her children and family that he loved dearly.
How to tell everyone about Xavier is so very important. He was funny, sensitive, loving. His life had such promise, and he was born into a family that loved him so much. The tragedy of losing his father at such a young age changed the trajectory of his life beyond anyone's imagination. And then to lose his mother only a few years later, it is a tragedy that no one should have to bear. The way he changed his life around, and prepared to become a father was inspiring, and made everyone so proud. The love that he has for Rayleigh, as well as his whole family, and all of his friends was truly special.
Xavier there has never been a day that we don’t think, love, or pray for you.
I am not sure how we can all say goodbye.
We love you so very much. Rest in peace Xman, you will forever be in our hearts.
From your Mema - I am forever thankful for these past months that we reconnected. You were doing so well, you had so many plans. We got to express our love, our sorrows for the things that could’ve been, and the plans of the future.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 9, 2024, 1:00-3:00 PM at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, Columbus, OH 43212.
